Castrol Braycote 868 is a greyish-black homogeneous mixture of molybdenum disulfide and silicone oil and designed for use on slow-speed sliding surfaces operating at temperatures up to 400 °C (752 °F) and as an anti-seize compound on threaded parts which operate at temperatures up to 760°C(1400°F).
Castrol Braycote 868 meets the requirements of (but is not qualified to) the DOD-L-25681D specification.
